Combat Stories

There is virtually no possibility of any pilot who flew the O1 Birddog with the 184th RAC or any Birddog unit in combat not having some very interesting and note worthy war stories.  We would recognize that as we "mature" our memories become much sharper particularly in regards to our accomplishments and bravery while flying in combat.  We invite the submission of some of your best stories that will be of interest to all.  You can submit the stories via email to the webmaster for posting on this page.  The first story is by Jim Taylor and is a monograph submitted at the Infantry School in 1972.  This is great reading and indicates the type of combat action we all experienced in Vietnam.  Please submit your story.  We are all interested to hear.
