2008 Company Gathering
The members of the 184th RAC with gather this Summer
on 26 June thru 29 June at Fort Rucker Alabama. All unit members are urged
to attend this, the third annual gathering. We plan to have a few
interesting activities including the fly in of the Charlie Race 184th
restoration Birddog painted in the 184th combat colors. We will go to
Rucker for some touring of the post, visit the Army Avn Museum and hopefully see
some of the latest Army fighting aircraft. But mostly, we will enjoy our
camaraderie and tell war stories that have certainly been enhanced over time.

Great News..... Mike Medlin has arranged for the HQ motel. The
Quality Inn& Suites, AKA Holiday Inn in Ozark has agreed to set aside rooms for
the 184th Gathering. The rate is $60.00 per night plus tax.
They have king size, double, etc. rooms available. It is important
that each person attending contact them right away to reserve their room.
They will let us use the breakfast area to gather and socialize and to provide
us a company HQ area during the gathering. There is also an outside area
where we can gather also.. weather permitting. Please contact April or

Sunday 29 June discharged for home
It is confirmed that Charlie Race will fly in his recently restored O1 Birddog
painted in the 184th combat colors. This will be a great event, just to
see this excellent restoration. There may be other Birddogs in attendance
as well. Thanks to Mike Medlin for his work and to General Allen for his
hospitality at the Army Avn Heritage Foundation.

Had a conversation with our good friend and 184th Pilot Mike Medlin this
morning. He has graciously volunteered to be the point at Rucker and Ozark for
the Gathering. He is now lining up the Gathering HQ Hotel (info on
that shortly so we can reserve rooms), and lining up some real fun
activities at Rucker and Ozark for us do Also places for us to
have the planned dinners on Friday and Saturday evenings. Things are in
the works.... more info as we get it.
