Unit History

The 184th RAC has an outstanding history of combat service in the Republic of Vietnam.  Much of the history of the 184th and so many other units become lost and forgotten over time.  This page represents a rare find, that of a copy of the annual unit history that was required to be produced by all Army Units. We do not have all the reports representing each of the years of activation, but we do have the report for the year 1968.  This unit history report was graciously provided by Jim Taylor, Nonstop 38, who served in the unit during 1968 and 1969.  The report provides good reading and is certainly to bring back memories regardless of the years served in the 184th.
Some other unit member may have a copy of another year's history.  Please send it in if that be the case as these few words captured in time are truly priceless.
This is a rather large file, a little over 5MB, and may take a while to download for those with dial up connections.  No problem if you have a high speed connection.  The file is an Adobe .pdf file which will permit you to print out this unit history.  If you do not have the Adobe Reader, click on the icon below to download it free of charge.
